In the Labyrinth of Drakes: A Memoir by Lady Trent

From the first introduction of Lady Trent, Marie Brennnan's glamorous dragon researcher living in a fantasy version of Victorian-era Earth, the adventurous heroine has been one of our new favorite characters. In the third novel of Lady Trent's "memoirs," Brennan only makes us love her more as she faces off against sexism, assassins, and conflicted feelings regarding her work and a fellow archaeologist while heading up a military dragon breeding program in the inhospitable deserts of Akhia. As the book hits shelves, Brennan and illustrator Todd Lockwood will share Lady Trent's thrilling new adventure at this discussion and signing.

Marie Brennan and Todd Lockwood Marie Brennan is a former academic with a background in archaeology, anthropology, and folklore, which she now puts to rather cockeyed use in writing fantasy. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she spends her time practicing piano, studying karate, and playing a variety of role-playing games.
