Death at La Fenice

Join the Usual Suspects book club for a lively discussion of this month's book!

Crime is almost entirely nonexistent in the beautiful and serene city of Venice, but that fact doesn't stop the murder of world-renowned German conductor Helmut Wellauer. Poisoned two acts into a performance of La Traviata, he leaves police commissario Guido Brunetti with not one suspect, but many. In addition to his coolly indifferent, much younger wife and the many music industry peer offended by his homophobia, Brunetti also finds himself investigating Wellauer's Nazi sympathies and a trio of singing sisters from days past—one now destitute, one dead, and the last missing.
