Reading & Book Signing
From the story of a teenage tomboy surprised to find herself falling for the boy next door, to that of the forbidden romance between an heir to the power of the West wind and the sylph sworn to protect him, two teens resurrected as robots who rebel against their own kind in order to save the human race, and a young woman attempting to uncover her true identity as an android as she skillfully evades those trying to keep it a secret, the latest books by authors Kasie West, Shannon Messenger, Amy Tintera and Debra Driza are taking the YA world by storm.
This summer we're delighted to have all four talented authors here for a reading and signing, a chance to meet their fans, and to share their exciting new stories with you!
Kasie West lives with her family in central California, where the heat tries to kill her with its 115-degree stretches. She graduated from Fresno State University with a BA degree that has nothing to do with writing.
Shannon Messenger graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts where she learnedamong other thingsthat she liked watching movies much better than making them. Shes studied art, screenwriting, and television production, but realized her real passion was writing for kids and teens.
Amy Tintera grew up in Texas and now lives in Los Angeles, California. She has degrees in journalism and film and can usually be found staring into space, dreaming up ways to make her characters run for their lives.
Debra Driza is the author of MILA 2.0. She is a member of the teen lit blogging group the Bookanistas and a former practicing physical therapist who discovered that tormenting her characters was infinitely more enjoyable. These days you can find her at home in California, wrangling one husband, two kids, and an assortment of Rhodesian ridgebacks.
