Join the Odd Shelf book club for a lively discussion of this month's book!
While on sabbatical, college professor Mikita Brottman started a book club with a group of convicts at a maximum-security prison outside Baltimore. Over the course of two years, they read ten challenging classics including Heart of Darkness, Macbeth, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Maximum Security Book Club is the unique, riveting, and compassionate account of her time discussing great works of literature with, and slowly getting to know, these men.
